Edmundo Lacayo is a partner in Taylor Duma’s Real Estate Department. Based in South Florida, Mr. Lacayo focuses his practice on real estate law, business law, commercial litigation, probate administration, and estate planning. He regularly represents owners, landlords, tenants, lenders, developers, investors, both domestic and international corporate entities, buyers, sellers, probate estates, personal representatives, and other interested parties in the residential and commercial space.

Mr. Lacayo has extensive experience representing clients in real estate, probate, estate planning, and business law matters. He regularly represents clients in real estate related matters in both state and federal court obtaining favorable results. He represents multinational enterprises in complex secured transactions involving residential and commercial real estate. He performs closing, title, and escrow services for numerous residential and commercial transactions and is currently an approved title agent for First American National Title Insurance, Old Republic National Title Insurance, Chicago National Title Insurance, and Fidelity National Title Insurance. Mr. Lacayo successfully represents domestic and foreign individuals with the administration of their estates in front of the probate courts of the State of Florida. He provides clients with estate planning services such as the preparation of wills, trusts, durable powers of attorneys, ladybird deeds, and other estate planning documents.

Mr. Lacayo has been recognized by Best Lawyers: One To Watch in 2026 for the areas of real estate law and trusts and estates.

He previously served in the legal department of a Fortune 500 company. In this role, Mr. Lacayo consulted on numerous legal and regulatory matters, including interacting with various international government bodies and agencies, as well as drafting complex client, customer, supplier, and service agreements with multinational corporations.

Prior to joining Taylor Duma, Mr. Lacayo was a partner in a full-service law firm based in Florida. He is a Miami native and when he is not practicing law he enjoys spending time with his family, music, traveling, basketball, golf, and tennis.
